Evans Head Presbyterian Church Mens Camp

Over the weekend of March 27-29 we’re planning an awesome weekend away to Secret Lake, near Lawrence on the other side of the Clarence River near Maclean.

We welcome all the men in our church, men who would like to join us for the weekend and boys who are becoming men.

Friday March 27th to Sunday March 29th

  • Who can come?

    Any man over the age of 10+

    You do not have to be part of our church to come and join us.

    If you’re under the age of 18 you need to be with your Dad or in the care of someone on the camp.

  • What is the cost and what does it cover?

    $50 for anyone 17 years and older

    $25 for anyone aged 10-16 years old

    This covers the camping fees and the cost of a meal on Saturday night.

  • What are we going to do there?

    We’re going to have an awesome time together. The weekend will be a mix of spending time away together, games and activities, engaging with God and spending time in and on the lake.

  • What do I bring?

    Everything you need to camp.

    Suitable camping equipment would be anything from a caravan or camping trailer to a simple swag and anything in between.

    You need to provide your own breakfasts, lunch Saturday and dinner on Friday. We will provide dinner on Saturday night.

    There is a camp kitchen. BYO mess kit.

    For recreation you might wish to bring a

    - bike (there are a few mountain bike tracks)

    - canoe/ kayak

    - fishing gear

  • Where are we going?

    Secret Lake Retreat is a campground south from here, nearby to the village of Lawrence (on the other side of the Clarence River from Maclean).

  • What is the program for the weekend?

    Friday 27 March

    3-6pm arrival/ set up

    6-7:30 dinner (BYO)

    7:30 fireside

    Saturday 28th March

    7-8:30 Breakfast (BYO)

    8:30 Morning Devotion

    9-12 Explore/ free time

    12-1 Lunch (BYO)

    1-3 Siesta

    3-5 Man Challenge 

    5pm dinner prep

    6-7pm Dinner (Spit Roast)

    Sunday 29th March

    7-8:30 Breakfast (BYO)

    8:30 Morning Devotion

    9-12 Explore/ free time/ pack up

    12pm departure

    Lunch on way home at ? (Optional)
